Tempus Initiative JV Summary

Example of the design style

An example of the modern structures that support complete coverage solar structures. Actual image is from Port Caraval, FL.

A join Venture between Assets Costa Rica, Precision Solar and SOLTECH

The goal

To create a sustainable, future resilient and 100% renewable energy sourced residential, commercial and industrial scale development – TEMPUS INITIATIVE.

The Tempus 2.0 project stands on the shoulders of the functional basis and infrastructure of the Tempus ONE proof-of-concept. Tempus 2.0 will include the Human element and close the creation loop by integrating sustainable life systems into the cycle.

Some aspects of the project include the following:

  • 10-100 MW Solar installation
  • Supplementary wind and biodiesel (hemp) generator
  • A battery farm to support the night time load
  • A commercial & residential component
  • Carbon sequestering facility
  • An indoor vertical and outdoor food production/ aquaponics facility fueled by the solar farm and carbon facility
  • Recycling facilities that turn waste product into reusable products
  • Free University and beginning education /exchange program facilities
  • Completely sustainable and future climate resilient.
  • Data center: Blockchain, public and local commercial servers to be transparent and self-reliant
  • Research and innovation center for future tech and collaboration initiatives

Expected project size is 500 -1000 acres. Several multi story buildings for commercial or residential use along with all the supporting service buildings for the community and commerce/trade outside the community. Copious amounts of natural green space for environmental integration by the community.

Social Concept

Sonrisa – Sunrise

A Social development project. lifting the most impoverished from their low place into the sunlight. A special program that low-income families may apply to. Through free education and training, help this group transform their lives into forces of abundance and illumination. Through a similar work share program like habitat for humanity, we:

  1. Educate the people,
  2. Provide work and improvement
  3. Build dwellings, food production sources, energy sources,
  4. Develop a sustainable and resilient society that is net positive in all respects and profits from the excess.
  5. Develop societal improvement programs placing family values at the core.
  6. Establish a rich mini-culture ripe with music, arts and science.

What is produced is more than is used by the community and the rest is sold or traded out.

socially, environmentally, and fiscally sustainable.

all structures are net positive producing (make more than the community needs)

Food, education and energy are always free like the sun.

Using the Sun as an endless energy source, we feed it into the production chain and thus will always come out net positive.

These villages can be the world over. Every nation can have at least one of these communities. Each community is built so that it can develop a partner with which to trade.

Built future forward like the resource based economy that Jacque Fresco foresaw. taking inspirations from the Venus project.

The Elements

THE MARKET

*This prject is drawn on the basis that the developers have access to a 1600 acre parcel of land in Costa Rica and can make use of this space, however it is understood that this project can be developed in almost any country. Special interest is in developing this project in Africa as the Tempus Africanus project.

Costa Rica has spent the last decade positioning itself as a global leader in everything environmentally friendly. More than 70% of it’s energy is derived from hydroelectricity and for several month of the year the entire country is powered 100% by renewable sources. However, in the recent years the main Arenal reservoir has been lowering most likely due to climate change which poses a potential future deficit in production. During the hotter months Costa Rica purchases energy from the MER (Central American Regional Electricity Market) to account for this deficit. The trend follows a demand for additional “truly renewable” and climate change resilient energy sources in the mix. The legislature in Costa Rica allows for a mix of up to 15% solar electricity generation for the grid however at current the total production of Solar Energy in Costa Rica is less than 2%. This creates a favorable opportunity for our business model. Once we add the addition of the new 99% recyclable lead crystal battery technology, this creates a 100% reliable, resilient and sustainable solution to the energy demands of Costa Rica and the rest of Central America.

LAND

TEMPUS ONE (Phase 1) includes a pilot project on less than 20 acres including a 2MW solar installation, 400kW battery storage, an organic aquaponics facility and small-scale mobile datacenter.

TEMPUS 2.0 requires several Megawatts of energy sourced from Solar, wind and micro-hydro. This requires several hundred acres of land. Our first property choice is located in the hills just north of Esterillos Este in the Parrita  canton. The property contains more than 1,600 acres, is approximately 15 minutes from the beach, has a large flat plain as well as numerous hills, a large river and access to a main highway to the central valley. This is one of the largest contagious development parcels In Costa Rica, making it a prime candidate for a sustainable development project of this size.

Phase 3 & 4 will include further developments including:

  • A commercial & eco-residential component
  • Carbon extraction facility
  • An indoor vertical and outdoor food production/ aquaponics facility fueled by the solar farm and carbon facility
  • Recycling facilities that turn waste product into reusable products
  • Free University and beginning education /exchange program facilities
  • Research and innovation center for future tech and collaboration initiatives
